ecu and prom question
ecu and prom question
son bought a 87 camaro originally a 2.8 , the previous owner put in a 90? 5.0 tpi with a maf 165 ecu with a hypertech stage 3 chip.
we may be having issues witht he ecu 5v divider circuit for the ect as when cold and the key on i get 1.75v with the car started after a minute or two the voltage goes up and reflects what it should read at the current temp.
i found the 2.8 ecu under the seat along with the ecu from the 90s? camaro. stickers gone but the prom is atny 5672 i assume this is a speed density ecu and prom.
1. could i make the ecu work with the maf as long as i reprogrammed the prom or is it hard wired for a map system.
2. if not where can i get a 165 ecu or what would be a replacement ecu.

I have used and refurbished cardone. But unfortunately they are all untested units .
