Just got my memcal with the ZIF installed, but I had a couple of questions:

I've got the ECM sitting on the pass side floor right now, and I can hear some high-speed clicking as it's running... are these the injector drivers firing?

Also, I put the ARAP bin in, but I can't get the car to start. Can I use the scan cable while the car is starting? I heard it shouldn't be started while jumpered for checking the codes and I'm not sure if it's the same thing.

It can hear the clicking even when the car isn't running with the ARAP bin, so I'm worried that I screwed up on this somewhere. With the stock PROM I don't hear it unless the car is running and I step on the gas a bit.

I got it to start, but I'm still wondering if I can start the car with the ALDL cable plugged in. This is an 89 TPI, 165 ECM, using an AKM cable.

Anyone know?
