305 to 350

I just jot a home computer so forgive me if I do anything wrong...Anyway I have a 87 camaro 305 tpi. Blew up the motor so I went to the junk yard and jot a L98 out of a 89 Pontac GTA. Bolted all my old stuff on it, accept the injectors and fuel reg. I used off the L98. Now my check eng light comes on. When i pull the code it says oxgen sensor failure. What do I do to fix it? Thanks

You also want to swap over the knock sensor from the 350, it's located in the passenger side block coolant drain hole. They're specific to engine size.

Check the wiring to your O2 sensor, sounds like it either didn't get connected or maybe the wire got burned by the exh system. That error means the ECM is seeing no voltage at all from the O2 sensor.

Time to start reading ALDL data and seeing what's going on in the ECM.

Search on "moates" and you'll find a shareware DOS app that allows a PC to read, display, and save ALDL data. Add a cheap laptop and ~$60 cable from AKM Electronics and you're in business.
