Tunercat tables?Long & many!

hey guys, new here to burning and many questions. With tunercat
using the 6e d.f on the main spark advance tables, whatdoes lv8 mean?(2)the values of 32,48,64 and so on mean?(3)Does it include the advance set at the distrbutor(i.e.10 degrees initial)(4)
what does min. delta tps mean?currently at3.9% and how does changing this % change things. What is DFCO mean on the constant table?(5)what does %tps to enable power enrichment
v/s rpm do?(6)since 255is the max gms/sec for maf, what can I do to manipulate number this since based on what I have presummably dictates that I will surpass it?(7)In maf 6 table, does changing the gm/sec have influence on the previous ?thanks Adam and glen again for the info and enlightenment!!

Hey Ray,

Hope you finally got TC up and running right. For your MAF questions, read the "Maf Tables" post that is new...there are 47 or so posts and that should answer that part of your questions.

As for the rest, I will defer to others

LV8 means Load Value, although nobody seems to know what the 8 stands for. LV8 is roughly calculated at airflow/rpm times some scale factor. The values are the LV8 values. Yes, the timing advance values include the base timing, but only if your base timing as set on the engine and that in the chip are the same.

Min. delta TPS means the minimum amount of change in the %TPS value in order for whatever function to happen or be enabled/disabled. DFCO is Deceleration Fuel Cut Off, which occurs when the LV8 drops below a certain point and the injector duty cycle goes to zero (no fuel being injected). There are several parameters related to this. %TPS to enable PE is the minimum amount of %TPS (TPS is throttle position sensor, so this is sort-of a misnomer, as it's really % of throttle opening at the TPS) to enable the power enrichment functions (more spark and fuel).

There isn't anything you can do to make the MAF read more than 255 grams/second since that's the highest value allowed in the computer code (based on the hexidecimal system, 0-255 gives 256 data points). Changing the values in MAF Table 6 will only change how much fuel is added, and I don't think you can raise the values above 255 grams/second.
