7730 tables

I was looking at the EGR duty cycle vs. RPM vs. vacuum and I was wondering since I don't plan on running an EGR valve can I just set that whole table to zero?

Sounds like a lot of work. Why not just set the "EGR Enable Temp" to a very high number so the EGR never functions?

I am sorry I am a beginner but that is under the constants right? OR could I just go under the switches and flip the EGR diagnostic off?

Set the "Canister Purge - MPH Enable" and "Disable" constants to very high numbers like 254 MPH.

I don't have the most "up to date" TunerCat TDF for the $8D as I do my own "experimental" TDFs.

There are three separate paramaters that control the enabling/disabling of the CCP: MPH, TPS and MAP values. On my TDF, I just use "decimal counts", I don't bother with any "converted numbers" because often they don't necessarily "match up". I just made sure that I set both enable/disable values for the MPH, TPS and MAP all to it's highest settings (d254/xFE enable and d253/xFD disable).

Trust me, if you set those constants to those high values, the CCP will not work.

However, if you want to invoke Highway Mode, you will need to do a "machine code instruction change" to make Highway Mode work with an inoperative CCP. I made a post on this a while back along with the code fix. Basically, the "stock instructions" will only invoke Highway Mode when the ECM detects an CCP Duty Cycle greater than the "Minimum CCP Duty Cycle to enable Highway Mode". Since you will be running at 0% DC and the lowest minimum CCP DC is 0, you will not meet the condition test of "CCP DC > Minimum CCP DC". You need to alter the instruction to make it invoke Highway mode with "CCP DC not < Minimum CCP DC".

Do a search on "CCP", "Highway Mode", "Purge" or "CPP" (I make typos occasionally). I explain the hex address location of the byte and the hex code to set it to. Basically you are altering the instructions to use a "BLO (Branch Low) instead of a BLS (Branch Low/Same)".

another question I have is on the spark advance tables. Let's say that I set something to 30 degrees on that table. Does that include the degrees that I already put in the constants table? Or is it in reality 36 degrees that I just entered? Also if I set the constant maximum advance to 30 and I put in 33 on one of the boxes will it only go up to 30? thanks for your patience.

1) With SD, you need to add your Base to the Main Spark Table to get your Total Desired Spark. If you are in Highway Mode or PE, then you need to add those tables to the total spark.

2) To determine your "Effective Total Spark Advance" (what the ECM really gave), you need to subtract the Knock Retard from the Total.

3) If you set the Max Spark Advance, then the Total Spark Advance you calculated in #1 above is limited to that number, (i.e. before subtracting the Knock Retard).
