Speed limiter?! Wrong Prom...HELP!

Speed limiter?! Wrong Prom...HELP!
Hi,
I drive an 91`GTA an when I acclerate it stops/stalls by ca. 120mls.
I have read that same fbodys with HR wheels had an speed limiter but my car had stock 245/50 ZR16 wheels....I think some of the guys that owned the car before had change the prom?!
Must i only change the prom to delete the speed limiter? When yes which prom should I buy the org. or some aftermarkt?? Thanks for your help and greatings from germany!

No, its a 305cui, shifter, one of the first owner has make many **** with this car...I could be that it is not be the org. prom. but must i only change the prom to turn off the speed limiter?

Unless there is some "mechanical condition" preventing your car from exceeding 120 mph, then yes, you will need to alter the "MPH Fuel Cutoff" settings in the eprom.
