How can I get into chip burning

Everyone always says the best chip is the custom burned one. But i have never heard anyone say how to get into it. What books to buy. What tools to buy. That is never really discussed. In this board it's people who already do it. On all the other board it's suggested to get into it. Well tell me how. Thank you

There could be books to buy but "Traxion" has done a lot of work writing up an tech article. Check on the main page under "Technical Articles" and then look for "Electrical" and under there an article for Prom Burning.
Else click here: Traxion's Article on Prom burning

Then he give more sites to get info. Then anything you still have questions do a search in this section. Pretty much anthing a newbie need to know has been asked so a search would be a wise idae to do first.

I'm just starting and just got my prom burner and eraser and will order Craig Moates plugin ZIF socket and ordered some proms too.

Read read read alot of people have written alot of info and it is all free.

Have you read Tim (Traxion's) Article that someone posted the link to above? It's all there.
