Grand National Winbin ECU

Where can I find an ECU file for the 84/85 Grand National? This is a different ECM than the more common 86-87.

Thanks for any help,

Ryan

Your farther ahead to add the MAT, and go with a 86-87 ecm.
Caspers Electronics makes a kit I think to do this.
They are in IL.

At the GNTtype site they have a hac of the later ecm, and there is a .ecu for it floating around

Ultimately you might investigate a Translator Plus.

Sub'ing to WWW. Turbobuick.com is also a good idea.

Yeah, I definately plan to convert to the 86/87 ECM, but I find the cost of the newer MAF sensor prohibitive. I can't seem to find anyone that is willing to tell me how I can convert an 86/87 chip to work fine the the older maf. I have a few ideas, but I really don't want to mess it up.

If it's allright, I think I might keep posting here. I used to visit this site all the time when I was into thirdgens. I really like the spirit of this DIY board. In my opinion, the TB.com board seems more towards the commercialized aspect of computer chips.

If your serious about your Gn then start saying for Translator Plus. BTW, I own a GN, and use the Translator Plus.
