Buncha newbie questions

I installed a 305 TPI out of an '88 Pontiac Firebird in a Jeep CJ7 almost 7 years ago. It's still running well but it's getting kind a little tired. I'm showing low oil pressure and have some lifter noise at idle. I'm intending to replace it with a 350 soon. I'll be using the same TPI setup but I have a set of 350 injectors. I'll also be adding a homemade AFPR.

Will the 350 run using the 305 memcal being that it is MAF?

What memcal bin would be a good starting place for an '88 350 TPI w/MAF, manual transmission, no VATS? My main interest is in low end torque, not high rpm HP.

I have an extra memcal for an S-10, it's an ASWY. I would like to use the holder for experimenting with PROM programming. I'd remove the PROM and install a zif socket. Can I get the limp home mode resnet chips for the 350 anywhere?

What language does the ecu use? From the BUA disassembled be by ECMguy, it looks to be Motorola 68xx code and has the typical reset and interrupts addresses at the top of the memory map.

I speak 8085, 80x86 and learned 68xx when I spent a few years disassembling the program for my Hero JR. robot (it's out on the net). I'd like to do some disassembly to better understand the ecm functions.

Yes, at it;s best, Not even close

Just find a man cal and start there. You're of the chart for a close starting point.

Useless, wrong in every direction possible you need a v8 memcal

Only be having the right memcal to begin with.

Good ol Motorola speak their Pink Book covers 99.9999999348537% of it

Thou, an 89 cal would be a better starting place (code 6E)

Much better yet switch over to a 90-92 ECM and repinning as necessay search for 730 conversions

Does that mean yes it will run but not at its full potential?

Being uneducated at the time (except by the TPIS manual, an article in Super Chevy and How to Repair & Modify Chevrolet Fuel Injection) I thought I had purchased the best of the TPIs with MAF and cold start. I particularly sought out an '86 to '88 when I was looking for the engine (the $700 price tag for a complete pull-out with all accessories didn't hurt anything either). Everything I read said the MAF was more forgiving of mild modifications whereas the SD would need a chip reprogram for almost any mods.

What would be the benefits of the SD over the MAF systems?

Thanks for the help.
