New Chip / Cooling / Fans

Does anyone know if anyone makes a chip that will tell the computer to turn on the electric fans sooner, before 220?
Thanks in advance....

The obvious answer is: WE DO! As far as an aftermarket company...I have not seen anything that specifically states it turns on the fans sooner.

Besides, for what you would spend on a "off the shelf" chip, you could buy your own stuff and do it yourself (hence the DIY name of our board)

Desert86Roc,
thanks for responding. I bought your parts CD a while back. About the chip, I'll do a little research, I seem to remember reading about an aftermarket chip that would turn on both fans at about 200 degrees. Of course it did other performance things as well, but with the miles on my engine I'm not so sure I should be hot-rodding it up right about now, I have to commute in the thing and I need it to last!
BTW, there is one part on your CD that I cannot find anywhere, maybe you can assist. I need to located the part number for the plastic flywheel cover that sits between the oil pan and the trans oil pan! Its not on the CD!
Thanks man,
Jeff

I just removed my 305 for a larger engine. For the last year, since I got into programming, my car has run faster and better than ever before because of the chip I programmed. After 185k hard miles, the hardest of which were the last 85k of regular drag racing, the motor still ran strong before I pulled it. You might want to reconsider doing your chip now.

As far as the Torque Converter Cover... Unless you live on dirt roads, leave the cover off. It helps cool the converter.

I bought a new one from the dealer and never put it on. Cant find my receipt for it though or I would give you the part number.
