Yes, start reading the "link" David posted. It's the same link that is the FIRST POST people are suppose to read when they enter the Board. It's Post #1 if you take a gander and that is where the new version will be shortly.
As per Grumpy's comment, the 1985 is the worst MAF ECM there is. I highly recommend swapping to AT LEAST the later MAF '165 and possibly the 1989 setup (without the Cold Start Injector).
The Best starting point for MAF cars is the ARAP BIN (again designed around the 1989).
Alternatively, since you REALLY should do a swap, you may just want to upgrade to the SD System. The Vettes used '727 while F-bodies used '730. The Vette 727 expects an Oil Temp Sensor while the F-body does not.
Do a search on "Mike Davis" on this site and you will find a link on how to "swap" from a 1985 to later MAF and then to SD. Mike ultimately went SD FYI.
