Does anyone have any information about the vats system as far as wiring diagrams, pin in, pin out locations ,anything, anything at all , is the vats resistor value stored in the memcal?.... can't be the ecm chip.. Looking for years 89' and 92' . I am stuck switching over to tuned port . I can't get any current to the fuel pump relay. And no , i don't want to buy a $350 dollar chip to eliminate the vats, I'de rather hook up toggle switchs and start my car that way, hey...dale earnhardt didn't use a key to start his car...lol......Anyways i have a vats interrogator and i know what value the key is, just when i hook the diagnostic scanner up to the car it reads.....VATS :FAIL.....Anyone with any help on this one??...Two weeks and counting being stuck on this one ??

 

87 and earlier cars didn't have VATS. So if you get a chip for one it will not have VATS. I am doing this now because VATS is causing me lots of trouble and I can't figure out why, nor can my local mechanics. So I'm using the 87 chip until my custom chip arrives. Hope this helps.

Talk to Zephyr, he will burn you a chip with the VATS disabled.
He works quick and well, my chip came today and i can't wait to get my zif socket to plug it up.
