Headlight problem... need help (already did a search)
Well, after doing a search on here I couldn't find any answers. I've owned my '91GTA for 3yrs now with no headlight problems. Now all of a sudden, when I turn on JUST my parking lights/fog lights... the headlights pop up but don't light up. Then if I turn on the other half of the switch they come on like they should. Basically I can't run with my fogs and parking lights on ONLY. The driver's light just started lagging at the same time also. It will also make a running noise after it is all the way down (retracted). Wondering if its mechanical pr electrical. i thought electrical b/c of not be able to run only my fogs... but possibly mechanical b/c of noise. Are there any relays I could check or anything like that? THANKS ALOT!!!

Assuming the headlights stayed down perviously with the fog/park lamps on, I'm going to take a stab at saying your headlight switch might be giving up the ghost (I could be just as easily wrong). Could be the headlight module too (black semi-flat box behind the left side of the brake booster with 2 weatherpack plugs in it).
Test the yellow wire to see if it's getting power with the park lamps on http://www.deadbird.org/tech/head.gif
If it is I'd wadger on there being a problem with the switch. If not, i'd guess the module is going bad.
That's the way I'd do it on my car anyways (although it could be wrong anyways). Hope the slightly helps... at least you got a neat diagram out of this

Did u fix your problem?
Hey GTA91, i have that same problem too. It's been going on for a while now. I thought it had to do w/the motors themselves. But just wanted to know if you fixed it? E-mail me if u did and how u did it. I hate cruising w/my lights popped up and not on! Laterz, Thanx!
