MSD Tech needed

I want to get an MSD ignition. I was thinking of something like the digital 7.
I want to have a rev limiter possible more. But I want the ingnition to be able to retard the engine when I hit the NOS button. Can this be done? Is the ignition preprogramed to know when I hit the button? Or does it do it through some sort of sensor. Or will I have to go another way around this?
Thanks

I'm not familliar with MSD ignitions myself, I'm more of a Mallory Unilte man. Have you checked into Jacobs Electronics Nitrous Mastermind?

I just bought the MSD digital 6+. This is probably all you will need for your setup. I am converting to carb from TPI and thinking about NOS also. With this box, you hook up your nitrous button to wires from the box. You adjust what you want your timing to be retarded by (usually 2 degrees per 50HP boost). When you hit the button, it automatically retards your timing, it's as easy as that. Check it out, $279.95 at summit.

You definitely want an MSD Digital 6.

Or for slightly cheaper, an MSD 6AL with an MSD 8982 Box.

Definately you can retard it more than that. I'm not sure what the total is maybe 10. Call summit tech 1330-630-0240 or just call summit they will tell you.
