High Torque Switch

Anybody know how to tell if the High Torque Switch (HTS) is bad?
How does it work? Does GM still make them?

Thanks

Matt

It's inside the headlight motor right behind the access panel that has the three screws. Its where the wires go into the motor. It can be pryed out easily with a screw driver. As far as I know it controls the up/down motion and when to stop the motor.
It's only on '82-'86's.

Thanks a lot for the help. I will try cleaning them. Where do I clean? Do I clean where the thing contacts the motor? Should the 2 contacts be touching the motor? Or should they not touch.

THis a link to my entire headlight problem, explained in full. Take a look, if you can to see if there is anything else wrong. It's long though.

Thanks again
