lights flicker when idle at stop light

All the lights (head lights/interior lights) flicker when I'm not moving. But as soon as I give it gas all the lights are steady on what can the problem be? I'm thinking that alt is bad what do you guys think??

Sounds like the voltage regulator or a grounding problem. Check the woven copper ground strap between the chassis (fire wall) & the pass side head & the strap between the battery neg. terminal & the chassis.

An underdrive pulley is a replacement crank pulley (and sometimes a new alternator pulley).. By putting a smaller pulley on the crank to drive the belts, you can take some load off the engine... Freeing up some extra HP..

On the other hand, your alternator, power steering, a/c, water pump, and whatnot now all spin slower. This really doesn't matter if you're moving, BUT it could cause a problem if you idle for a long time, in that there's a lot of electricity drain, but not much power being made...

Many people have no trouble with it tho... Try just revving your engine if you're at a light for a long time... should help keep a charge.
