daylight sensors on headlights

daylight sensors on headlights

1991 firebird t/a how can i disconnect this so that my headlights do not open on their own, i would like to control these guys myself.

Axle/Gears: Moser 9", Detroit Locker, 3.70
If your car is equipped with factory daytime running lights (DRL), you may bypass the DRL head light control by cutting the yellow wire from the DRL module. Put electrical tape over the ends of the two now unused yellow wires. The DRL module is under the drivers side kick panel, on the left hand side & has 15 wires going to it.

why cut wires - just pull the DRL fuse
