I can't pass safety with a broken window motor???
that's what the mechanic told me when I went to get tested.
Sounds like bull**** to me. What should I do? (I know about the tech article on how to fix the problem, I just wonder if there is any way to get around having to fix it)
The motor is just worn out. I don't know why.. my car is only a 91. We used to have an 84 whos windows worked until the day it died (didn't get the motors out before we had it towed, damn)

The way it was explained to me in VA is that the police want the window to work so that they don't have to worry about you coming out after them. They just make you roll down your window. It is also useful for tollbooths and the like. They usually don't care about the passenger window.
