Gauge fuse has blown twice

Could operating the power windows cause the dashboard gauge fuse to blow ? This is what seems to be happening , so I guess it is possible , but is this common ? How do I go about fixing it , and where could the problem lie ? The door panels were removed a year ago to reattach a broken off door mirror , and the problem seemed to happen after that, with the gauges stopping working. The car has been stored since then . Upon driving the car again, after I replaced the fuse , all was fine , but by the end of my journey I noticed that the fuse had blown again as the gauges were again no longer working . ABout half way through that journey, I operated both power windows at the same time , they were quite slow to raise up.
I read another post just there where the power windows were causing a circuit breaker to blow , and it got me thinking , could this be the same problem I've got, only it's causing my gauge fuse to blow ? I've had the car for 4 years now , and nothing like this has ever happened before.

Sorry if I'm rambling on here , and making little sense : tired after a 12 hour nightshift .... !!

hope someone can help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know that the power windows can cause a guage fuse to blow. But I do know that the EGR solinoidand it's connector can and will cause a guage fuse to blow. Worth looking into, took me a couple of days to track it down when it happened to me.

There are several other things that run off of that fuse. The AIR divert solenoid, the AIR port solenoid, the TCC lockup solenoid, and a couple other things I'm forgetting at the moment.

[spooky]I see a lot of tracing in your future..[/spooky]
