Please HELP - ACC Short Problem

My ACC circuit has a short to ground - if I buzz the inside side of the CB it goes to ground. All of the circuits - Dome light, Courtesy lights etc go to ground. Looking at the schematic it shows that you've got 12V on one side (of the lights etc) and a white wire on the other - the white goes to the door jamb switch and the light switch - when the door jam switches are closed - they go to ground - therefore the 12V goes to ground. What am I missing here?

Maybe I didn't read you post right, but the thing you're not thinking about is the light bulb.

On one side of the light(s) is +12 continuous. The other side of the light(s) are the switches that will ground the circuit to make it complete (or light the lights). The 12 volts goes to ground, but through the light bulb which heats up the filament so hot that it illuminates.

If you have a short from the accessory position to ground, it'd blow the fuse. Also, the courtesy light(s) are not on the accessory position, since this position does not have voltage with the key out, rather it is connected continuously to the battery. The accessory position only has a voltage applied when the key is in the "accessory" or "ignition on" positions.

I do not under your statement "if I buzz the inside side of the CB".
