Detailed Instructions for getting to CHIP?
Detailed Instructions for getting to CHIP?
Hi. I tried once before to open up my panel and find my chip? I got instructions from someone on this site that were very detailed but didn't match up to what I found once I opened the panel. I'm going to try again this weekend and am looking for instructions again. The first guy who gave me instructions had a Camero so I'm thinking that the setup might be different between a camero and a firebird. Anyway, someone with a 'bird please help me locate it. I'm going through all this because I suspect there is an aftermarket chip in there. Thanks.
I don't have a bird but the chips are in the same places.Behind passengerside of dash.Remove the sound pad (or what ever it is called)from just above where your feet would normaly be.Once the pad is down look up just behind the dash, two bolts(I think)hold the computer up(silver box, roughly 4X6 inchs).Remove those bolts and the computer will drop down.Remove the bolts holding the prom cover on.Thats it!I hope
