Thanks alot guys!, problem solved...I took out the guage cluster and cleaned everything, the oil pressure is still screwy but the speedo works....Hell what can ya expect from a car with 181,000miles and is still pretty much perfect in every way, once again thanks alot!

Transmission: SMOOOOOOTH T-56/Auto. . .
Axle/Gears: 3.42 and 2.73
sounds like you've got 2 problems.
loose or bad cable for speedo, and loose or bad connection for oil pressure.
literally check from the tranny to the gauge cluster for the speedo cable.
likewise from the oil pressure sensor to the cluster again on the pressure indication.

Your '91 does not have a speedo cable. The speedometer is electronic & is driven from the ECM speedometer output (4000 pulses per mile). It sounds like you have an intermittant open ground to the cluster or on the cluster flexible circuit card. Pin 2 of connector C2 is a black / white wire & grounds the oil pressure gauge, the speedometer, the fuel level gauge, and some if the cluster illumination bulbs.
