How can I wire my fan to be on with ignition on?
I have a 1986 TransAm and I need my single fan to be on with the car on. Where can I find an accessory wire to hook up to the positive to the fan. Or is there a certain Relay I could purchase? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
There is a simple solution for that. Find the fan relay and find the wire that actully turns the fan on, I think it is green/white. Cut it and splice a longer piece onto it and tie it into one of the many grounding screws. Anytime the key is on, the fan is on. The only reason I did this was because I was doing some other electrical work anyway, you probably wont want to start cutting wires, but it is a cheap and easy way
On your driverside fire wall there should be a black oval like box, hooked to that box is a green w/ white stripe wire. Just splice into it and ground it out to run full time or add an on/off switch between the grounding wire to control it manually.

Just wondering, but why do you want your fan constantly on? You'll burn out your fans and inhibit horsepower.
