Idle Control Relay????? i there one

hey,
I have an 87 camaro with a crate 350 and a stock Rochester Q-jet. On my car there is 2 small 4 prong relays. they are on the same bracket that is bolted between the radiator reservior and the battery, the bracket is bolted to the side of the fender. Well the one that is closest to the battery is fried and i need a new one. but i have no idea what the relay goes to. but the problem i am having with my car is that when i clutch to put the car in neutral to slow down the RPM only goes down to 1200 and then when i am about to stop i goes to 800 RPM where it has always idled. I guy at the GM house told me that its probably a idle control relay. but he said that the plug in conector to the relay which is burned up on my car has been discontinued. But GM still makes the solenoid. I think that the guy is full of bull S%$!. But does anyone know if any aftermarket companies make a aftermarket solenoid and the plug that would be compatable? I checked every auto parts store i knew of and no body had it.
Any help would be great.

P.S. the solenoid has 4 wires going into it: a light brown/white, A dark brown/white, a black one and a baby blue one.
if for some reason yall dont think that this relay id for my idle control please let me know.
And no body buy anything from the parts dept. at Buz Post GM in Arlington Texas.
well thanks again

That is actually the other of the two relays that were mentioned under your previous post - it's the choke heater relay. You may replace it with a Bosch 30 ampere relay & connector, as indicated in the other post. Here are the connections:

Tan / white: relay terminal 85 (coil)
Black: relay terminal 86 (coil)
brown / white: relay terminal 30 (pole)
Light blue: relay terminal 87 (NO contact)

If you are having a problem with high idle, try disconnecting the throttle kicker mechanism on the carb.

thank u,
u are right that is exactly what it is. I took one of a car at the just yard today and replaced it. my car idles at a constant speed but at about 1200 rpm. Is this normal. And my choke light is staying on. what exactly is the throttle kicker? and where is it? and what does it do. i really appreciate u helping me out.
once again the post has saved me.
thanx
Ross

A 1200 rpm idle is too high. The throttle kicker is a solenoid mounted on the carb & increases the idle when the A/C is on, or when the ECM tells the solenoid to engage - read the other post you placed earlier for a more detailed explanation. The choke light is on probably because the choke heater is not being powered by the choke heater relay. That may be causing your permanent high idle, as well.
