Single Fan Setup Won't Turn On
I have an 85 5.0L TPI and the electric fan will not come on. Coolant Temp sensor new, relay new, gaue sender new. Fan will not come on when ALDL is jumped nor will the AC override it. Fan motor has power becuase I am able to physically able to contact the relay to make the fan spin.
Have all power to relay and fan, power in RUN to the fan fuse, 5v reference to CTS on front of intake manifold, power in RUM at ECM at C2, D2, but not C9. According to the diagram, C9 (DK Blue) goes to the fan pressure switch which should be on the PS cylinder head. I do not have one, I am assuming mine is in front of the intake manifold (PLEASE correct me if I am wrong). If this is correct, my sensor has yellow and black wires only, not dark blue.
If someone could help, i'm looking for the specific wiring diagram for an 85 5.0L TPI or any other help in diagnosing this. It is getting awful warm and the car hasn't been driven since October '01 and I am starting to suffer from withdrawls here!!!
By the way, what is the sensor on the PS radiator tank adjacent from the fan relay. Some schematics label this as a fan switch.
