hooking a cpu up to a stereo??

anyone ever done this, home or auto? i'm currently using one as an autotap and thought why not use it for music too. i know it can be done, but i'm not sure how.

i asked this question in car audio, but i figured there's people who come here and not there....so anyone know???

I don't think that you could hook one up to a car stereo, unless you got one of the stereo's that you can hook a dvd player into. Perhaps then you could hook up the stereo to the dvd hookups, with a tv adaptor card or something. Not sure, though.

i answered your question in car audio does your cd player have an auxiliary input? if so, use an adapter from your soundcard to your input.. if not, you can use an fm transmitter (also connected to your LINE OUT) and then tune in on your radio to the station.. the sound quality isnt as good as running a wire, but i find it still acceptable.. you can pick these up these fm transmitters at radioshack while you're getting your adapter splitter

so it looks like my best bet is to get a line splitter that will hook to my headphone jack and run it to my aux input??
