First off,I know nothing about electrity and all but i just bought a new blacklight and was gonna put it it in my car but first had to ask some questions.
I was gonna cut off the plug on the blacklight and splice a plug in to a cig. lighter on the end so it would plug into a cig. lighter.Would this be ok to do cuz its running off a 12 volt battery and i dont really have any questions just wanted to be sure it would be safe.

if the black light was made for the house its not going to work in your car cuz your house is 120 volts while your car is 12 volts if it would work then every one would have a tv and vcr in there car you can get black lights for your car every where i hope that helps
