Blinker
Blinker
I have this wierd problem. At night when I go to turn on my lights, my left blinker (the little arrow inside the car) begins to go on, sometimes it slowly blinks other times it comes on for a while very brightly.

If this happens only when you turn on the running or head lights, then the problem is probably an intermittant open ground going to either the front or rear left hand turn bulb socket.

To check the flasher, turn on the hazard lights and see if they flash normally.
If they do, then switch the flasher relays. They should be the same, and you really dont need a good hazard flasher.
Also, check the bulbs.. Bulbs are the cause of lots of stupid problems....

The hazard flasher is not the same as the turn signal flasher. The turn signal flasher has a current sensative heater element in it that will not flash if a bulb is burned out to indicate a fault.

Remove the bulbs from the sockets & check the socket ground contacts for continuity to chassis ground with an ohm meter or a test light.
