Turn signal

My left turn signal will not work, in the dash the left blinker just stays solid and doesnt blink when I turn it on. The left blinker in the front of the car works, but it doesnt blink, and the blinker in the rear doesnt even light up. so I went to advanced auto and bought a new light. put that in and it still was solid, they guys there said it was probably a bad blinker, and gave me this round part with 2 prongs sticking out of it, when I asked where it goes they were sudenly very short and mumbbled something and quickly ran off so I was kind of upset but its not there job anyways. To note the right blinker works fine... any suggestions, and where does this round thing go.. install to? I looked all over my fuse box couldnt find it

thanks

They gave you a flasher. The flasher is fine if the other blinker works--they use the same flasher. Every bulb needs to be working for the blinkers to blink. Check them all using the right blinker lights as a guide. Also, make sure they got you the correct bulb. Other bulbs may work, but aren't powerful enought to make the flasher kick in and out.

mine does teh same thing, except a couple weeks later it will start to work again, it seems to screw up a lot at night when i turn on my lights, I think my signals are demented.

Blinker

check the rear light bulb on the side that does not work, if one bulb is out the whole side does not flash.
