My Radiator Fan will not turn on, With or without air conditioner, Help!
I have recently purchased my 1986 IROC Z28, In it, there is a switch to turn on the Radiator Fan. The only problem is, I don't want to keep it this way because,, Knowing me, I will forget to turn it on. This could be a pretty serious problem.. How can I check on this issue. I found the original wire coming from the original setup. I connected it, and when I started the car,, and turned on the Air Conditioner, the fan never turned on. So, I know it would not work once the temp went up.

Oh, I forgot to add the specs.. I have a 1986 IROC Z28, 305 engine, with Carberator,, And has a single electric Fan. Please help. I can not stand that switch.. I know I could easily start the car one cold morning, let it warm up while I'm in the house and the engine over heat due to no fan.. I really need either the original setup work, or aftermaket, But, please help in letting me know where to start to test the issue out.. Because with the air conditioner on, the switch does not come on at all. Thats,, just not going to work,, Any help, will be Great,,

The fan relay is near the fire wall, on the drivers side. The dark green wire coming from the relay is grounded to turn the fan on. The dark green wire goes to a switch in the passenger side cylinder head, which grounds the circuit above 239 F. The dark green wire also goes to the A/C selector switch, which grounds the circuit when the selector is in the MAX, NORM, or BILEVEL positions.

Great Tim,, Thanks for the info, I will do my research and find the issue, Hopefully it will not be too hard. I guess the relay is damaged, or the wire, somehow is no longer connected somewhere in the line. I will reply and let you know how it goes. I would hate to over heat my car,, because of that issue.
I will reply, once I find the issue, once again,, Thanks,,
