hey guys, i bought a water temp, and oil pressure gauge for a A-pillar pod i want to install on my 91 rs. When i hook up everything the way it says to the oil pressure gauage flat lines past 80 psi and the water temp gauge works fine but my fan and engine light come on. My question is i need help with the wiring. Is there something special that i should know?? Why isn't anything working right. My original gauges work fine but aren't accurate, that's why i'm doing the gauge pod. These are the worst two so far. thanks

 

I have both of the same guages mounted in my a-pillar. I have been having problems with my oil pressure guage. When I give it power even with the engine off it goes to 75-80 PSI. I was informed by a member on the boards that I need to replace this guage. I havent had any troublewith my water temperature guage whatsoever though...the guage shouldn't have any effect on your fans...

 

i can't figure it out either, with the oil gauge that is. My gues is that the sending unti isn't compatible with the gauge. My temp gauge works fine too but my engine light and fan turn on telling me i have an internal water sending unit error. I'm at a loss. Did you connect your water temp gauge to the GM sending unti wire behind the dash gauges or right from the gauge itself. Why would my fan turn on, something is wrong!!!

 

one more question,,,,can you hook up two gauges to the same sending wire and get the same readout?(water temp)
