Mystery harness

Sorry this isn't very specific but i am away at school and thought I would post for the hell of it. I have an 89 GTA and there is a plug(three wire I believe) right before the alternator plug after the fuel injectors that is just laying next to my valve cover and I would like to know what it is. Anybody that can help, that would be great. Thanks John

It is on the other side of the harness before the alternator
