my battery light stays on all the time but the battery is brand new. if it was the alt. wouldn't i have some power lose by now? also, when i turn on my lights my left turning signal stays on and won't blink but every now and then it won't come on when my lights are on and it will act normal....someone give me some ideas

 

Sounds to me like you have some wiring problems under the dash. When I changed my steering column, the blinkers and starter and brights wouldn't work b/c someone before me had put butt connectors on some of the wires for some reason. It's worth taking a peek under there.
