Relay Question

On a SPDT relay, I have always wired power to 30, then wired whatever accessory i was powering to 87. If I switched those around and wired my accessory to 30, would it still get the amperage boost of the relay? Does the output only come out of 87 or 87a?

You can wire a relay in many different ways to do a lot of things.30 is normally closed with 87a while 87 is open until the relay is activated. You can go either way- power supply on 30,87a,or 87.But, 87a will keep the circuit closed, and if you put your acc on 87a,it will stay on until you activate the relay.
