help me track down a short

Ok guys, I have a short somewhere. The interior lights, power locks, and cig lighter don't work. I put a new fuse in, and it poped. Has this happened to any of you? Is there any place on that circuit that commonly shorts? I will finally have time to try to track down the short tomorrow, so any help would be great.

cigarette lighter assembly is often troublesome
aftermarket radio installs sometimes cause problems with this circuit
domelight wires have been known to short against the metal roof

check in the cigarete lighter, I have known pennys to fall in there and that will cause a dead short.

I hope it's not on the roof, that would be a huge pain in the ****.

If I was you I'd first check the A-pillar along the driver window. that is where the wires for the dome run up then across the windshield, then back to the light. They sometimes get kined in that area and by the dash. Have u ever had it apart? maybe you crushed a wire while putting it back together.

I actually had a very similar problem just this last week.
I probably went through 10 fuses finding the problem.... bent prong in my cig lighter... was spittin out sparks when I replaced the fuses.

I also ripped out my rear defroster switch cause it was making alot of noise.

check those...
