Does the blue wire have a white stripe or is that just the picture? I'm under the assumption that my camaro would have the same because it also had the L03 and its still the old harness (till the new one gets here). Have to go look.

That would be the performance plug. When you find the other connector and plug it in, you gain 50HP!!

What does it lead to? It could be an accessory plug for an option that you don't have.

Ok Tim :lala: I bet your Formula doesn't have one then, heh.

If I knew what it led to then I wouldn't be asking now would I?

I actually have my wiring harness ripped out right now so tonight I'll look to see if I have that same plug. I don't remember seeing one like that but I'll check again.

Your right, the Formula doesn't have one.. because it doesn't need one!!

I was looking for a general direction. Does it disapear to somewhere on that side or does it goto the other side? Do you have power mirrors? I think that they have a similar colour scheme.

I can't tell, how many wires are actually coming out of it? I think I found it on mine. Now I just have to follow it to wherever it goes.

OK It goes up all around the dash and comes back to the steering column. I'm having trouble trying to match it to a wiring diagram. There are two groups of wires that run through a tunnel wire holder which is connected to the firewall behind the dash. The one this is connected to is the bigger one of the two which connects to a wire that is mid way down the steering column, underneath (this is in my 90 RS of course though, there could be some discrepencies). I don't know if any of my posting is helping at all but good luck.

Its no big deal really... I didn't want you to go rip apart your dash to find out, unless you were doing that anyway. I was just in that area for something else and noticed it. If it goes near the steering column it could be for cruise (since I don't have it).

I was already almost done pulline my dash and engine wiring harnesses out for replacement so it was just a matter of finding the connector in the heap of wire and matching it to where it plugged in (I'm getting bored waiting for my new harnesses anyway).

colors match the same plug I had in mine for the factory dash speakers, may or may not be the same 4 years later, do your dash speaks work?

Definitely isn't a speaker lead--if I remember right--one side is green and the other is yellow or gray. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong on the colors!

well, thanks alot guys. I had an oportunity to look under my dash to try to help figure out this question, I didn't find anything out about your wires but I did find 4 different connectors that don't go aynwhere under my dash. I am not worried about them because every accessory I have works properly.

Hey 1986redbird--does your car have every option? To save money GM used the same harness for the Birds--whether it had rear defogger or not--the plug would still be there--that's why there's so many plugs hanging in a stripped model--and no plugs hanging in a loaded car.

My car has that same plug hanging, I don't have power anything except steering, I bet that plug goes to either power windows or side mirror, or something like that.

lets see..... blue, pink, and two greys... that would be your cruise control. I know cause I had to rip my cruise wiring out cause some idiot locksmith snipped it when replacing my ignition cylinder before I bought the car.... no biggie, though, I'll just take one from a pick'n'pull...

different connector than mine, but those colors point to cruise.
