The reverse light switch is mounted to the transmission & has a 2 wire plug connected to it - remove the plug & short the two terminals together in the harness at the plug. Turn the ignition on - if the lights illuminate, replace the switch mounted to the transmission. If they do not illuminate, the problem is elsewhere in the electrical system.
