Turn signal lever replacement.

The washer tab on my combination turn/cruise/wiper snapped. I bought a new one today. What is the easiest way to replace this? Do I have to tear apart the steering column?

Remove the tilt lever (it unscrews), make sure the multifunction lever is in the center or "off" position, remove the housing cover end cap (if you have cruise control), remove the cruise control connector (if you have cruise control), remove the multifunction lever by pulling it straight out of the turn signal switch.
