Head lights and fog lights.
Head lights and fog lights.
2 questions
I have a 91 RS and I noticed i had a headlight out... argh. Before i go and get a new lamp and change it i was wondering if there are conversions for the headlamps that will utilize the new HID bulb style which are used on most new cars these days. They are alot brighter and i really like the blueish tint they give off. i think i remember seeing something by PIAA that replaces the lamps with a house that fit the projection bulbs. But there isnt anything on the site. ANyone have any ideas or know where to find this?
For those of u who think this is kinda Rice-like.. it may be.. but our headlights dont do jack. since they are recessed and all. So i jus lookin for something a lil brighter.
This is the easiest question. just looking for options the question is about a fog light switch. I have a set of aftermarket fogs. I dont remember the wattages or wat not for the wiring itself. But i put the switch in the center console where the hatch switch is and ended up snapping it inhalf. Cus it stuck up. Dummass thing to do i know. It had a light at the top. Question is, is this switch interchangeable with lets say a factory fog switch? do switches have to have the specific currents and such for it to work? or will it just rely on the fuses. which i tink were 5 amps for the LED on the switch
Thanks
Ryan

Dont let anyone tell you this is a riceboy only deal, im in the middle of doing the conversion right now. With my current headlights, you cant see jack. I went on either yahoo or ebay and found a guy selling the whole kit. It came with the lenses and the hyperwhite lights. They are soooooooo nice, that put out the blueish white light that you can see for miles. Totally legal light. They are Hyper Industries H4. I got the whole thing, shipping and all for $83.00 and i would say its worth it. But i have run into a problem. As i said, im still working on it, but the old wires that connect to the bulb are old and worn and so i was haveing one light go out when i turned the brights on. But this is easily corrected. Just go to an auto parts store and get a new connector. Cut your old one off, solder or clamp ( i recomend solder) the new one on. Its fairly easy.
Now the fog lights, i have an aftermarket pair on my formula from auto zone, probable the cheapest pair they make, but matches up soo well with the car. Well it came with a light up switch, but there must have been too much voltage for the switch because it would get hot and the inside would melt, I changed the switch to a 30amp switch and havent had any problems.
