converting dummy light cluster to 85 mph gauges cluster

help!i have a 86 caamaro that used to be a v-6,5-speed car.It has a dummy light dash. How hard would it be to convert it to a gauges dash out of say a 84 z 28?can i just switch gauges and sending units(i know it might require a connector change too)
or do i need to get the whole harness(got the 84 z here ...parting out)

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Just switch the oil pressure and water temp sending units, and plug the cluster in; it'll work fine except for the tach, which will read lower than the engine is turning.
It will read 2000 rpm when the engine is actually turning about 2667 rpm; and 1500 when it is running 2000 rpm.

Pete

EDIT: Doh!!! just realized you are converting to a V8...so the tach from the Z28 will read correctly
