Flashing Codes On An 82 Possible?
Flashing Codes On An 82 Possible?
Hey there guys. Im pretty new at this, but it looks easy so here goes.
My 82 T/A has been having numerous problems left and right. My buddy has a 91 Wrangler and he can flash his service codes with the ignition key(lock, on, off, on, off, on). I know a GM Third-gen wont do that, but is there anyway that I can flash a service code by the hairpin trick? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Above is not an acurate diagram of the peice but thats what it looks like.
Take a paper clip and attach it to the ECM connector under the driver side dash, usually it's behind a removable peice of plastics about 1x2. Put one end in the A spot and one in the B spot (though the diagram might not have the right amount of spots it is the right most top and bottom spots. Than put the car in the On position. DO NOT start the car with the clip in. When the car is in the on position the SES will flash your codes
Someone double check me on the spots like I said in another it's late. And I don't have a ECM anymore.
Edit I just realized what I said didnt make much sense.
