The companies that make aftermarket cruise controls also sell vehicle speed sensors that work for non computer cars. You may be able to use the output from one of those.
good luck

Obviously you will need an electronically driven speedometer.
What I was hinting at was to use an aftermarket VSS to run the speedo.

Maybe I still do not understand exactly what you're asking. Sorry.

I'm gona get a AUTOMETER PHANTOM electric speedo. Hopefully I can just hook it up with the existing dash wireing and and it will work fine.

Was wondering if anybody with a 91-92 has done the same.

As ive understood from autometer before you could but im not sure. They seemed kinda shakey on the answer so i wouldnt trust that opinion. My personal opinion would be no. ive looked at the wiring harness for the stock vss and the phantoms and they looked a little too different...but dont take my opinion as this was an 89 RS (my friends) but i doubt they changed wiring. good luck.
