Hi! This has been bugging me for awhile, so I finally got out the digi cam to take some pics. Some of the wiring under my hood looks like it's been tampered with, whether or not it's normal is what I'd like you guys to help me figure out. I've also been having some O2 sensor problems (code 13), so that prompted me to start examining my wiring. Can someone tell me where the engine grounding strap is on a '91 TBI motor ? Below are pics of some of the wiring, and if you guys could tell me what they are and if they look acceptable, I'd really appreciate it.




The top arrow show's a wire with a crimp spade on it screwed down to the AC thingy (blower or something ?), and all the paint was scraped off around it. The bottom arrow is an unplugged hose that comes out of the same "thingie", which I think is a vent.



These three white wires come out of the main wiring bundle (#1) behind the driver side head, and connects to the back of the head (#2). I pulled them out a bit (#3) when I traced them. Incidently, one of the wires is broken and I pulled up a bare end (I think the head side was still connected, but I'm not sure)

I'm not too shure about the wires by the drivers side head but the first picture is of the A/C and heat blower, the wire in question is the ground for the blower motor,and while it isn't stock I don't see a problem with the way its done. the tube goes from the A/C duct to the blower motor, just push the end in the picture into the hole on the back side of the blower motor, it is used to keep the motor cool when its running.

the body ground strap is usually located on the back of the passenger side head and is bolted to the head and to the firewall, its usually a silver braided wire about 3/4" of an inch wide and pretty thin.
