I THINK I MAY HAVE INSTALLED MINE WRONG. MY CAR IS TPI WITH REMOTE COIL. THE DIRECTIONS SAY I CAN INSTALL IT WITH OR WITH OUT THE MODULE IN THE DISTRIBUTER. WHICH IS THE RIGHT WAY?

it doesnt matter which way you do it
either way you are bypasing the module.
just read the instructions and itll tell you that either way is fine.

You need to hook it up USING the module or the computer will not be able to control spark timing.
The distibuter pickup triggers the module which is timed by the ecm to trigger the coil.
Using an aftermarket box the pickup triggers the module which is timed by the ecm which triggers the aftermarket box to trigger the coil.
Bypass the module and you will be running locked-out timing and require a timing computer anyway for street driving. The factory ecm does a better job of controlling timing anyway (If PROMmed right) giving best power and gas mileage.
