no trouble codes on ecm

I tried pulling codes last night. The six and nine didn't work, so I jumped the 5 and 6. That just continuesly flashed the 12 code. Is it truley possible that my car has no trouble codes and is running (electronically) to the tee????? Thanks in advance.

Repeating code 12 means no trouble codes stored in memory.

hmm, i wonder if the camaro and the firebird has the same set up?

but if anything here's my two cents.
when checking for codes without a scanner,
u can either use a special tool that can jump the terminals A and B, which is side by side of each other, on the top right hand side of the ALDL
connector or just use a jumper wire .
Anyways, have the car ignition off, and then
install the tool or wire into the connector terminals. Turn car into the run postion, meaning key on, engine off.
the service engine soon light should instantly flash code 12 (one flash, pause, and two flashes) (No reference pulses to ECM) which is a good thing because its not sensing signals to the PCM, ECM or whatever we call it...
if it doesn't then there's probably something wrong with the ALDL connector or something at the PCM. Now code 12 should appear first before any other code and it should repeat the code 3 times, before going into another code....the rest of the codes will flash 3 times as well...
so hope this helps
