Crazy oil pressure gauge
My 92 Camaro has just devoloped it's first electronic problem at 149,000 miles. The oil pressure gauge acts normal at idle up untill about 1500 RPM showing about 25 to 30 lb. pressure, then from 1500 to 2000 RPM it will start bouncing and over 2200 RPM it completly pegs out!! I checked pressure with a real gauge and it reads normal, do you think I have a bad sending unit or would it be something with the gauge? Thanks

When I bought my 91 Camaro RS 5.0 new in '91 I had my oil gauge do the exact same thing. In my case I needed a new sending unit.
