Cruise Control Keeps Accelerating Forever

I have a '92 Z28 with mods below. When I turn the cruise control on, it will increase the speed when the car slows below where I set it, but it keeps increasing the speed indefinately. It does not stop when it gets to the correct speed. All of the other functions work properly. Is this a cruise control module problem, or is it mechanical?

If everything else works fine, then it does sounds like the Cruise Control Module itself.
