86 headlight motor wiring

86 headlight motor wiring
i bought a 88 headlight assemble for my 86 and the 86 has 3 lead wires for the headlight motor and the 88 headlight motor only has 2 lead wires. When i wire it either nothing happens or i blow a fuse. What can i DO????
