Cable driven 145mph speedo?

I'm trying to replace my 85mph unit, but the dealer said that all 145mph units were electronic, but in the archives I saw that they did make a 145mph cable speedo. What years and cars did they come in? Thanks for the help

The dealer is full of sh*t. I have had the same thing happen with other parts. They know sh*t!

My 145 speedo in my 89 is cable driven.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think 90 is when they went to VSS.

I've always said the worst place for information on original equipment is the dealership. Your example just solidifies my suspicion. These parts boys only know how to look up numbers... they do not have much knowledge.

Camaros came with cable-driven 145-mph speedos from late 1986 thru 1989.
