i dont know a lot bout this stuff but here are the symptoms:
-when i turn the lights on the battery meter fluctuates.
-when i turn the turn signal on the tachometer ticks with the signal (up and down slightly)
-the speedo, fuel, and several other guages dont work, the speedo works but is incorrect
-the trip meter is broken

i think these are signs of tampering, such as to roll back mileage by the previous owner. i am going to buy a new guage set anyways, i am wondering why some of this stuff happens. also, my left turn signal comes on solid, and the right ticks incredibly fast. thanks

 

Could be a bad ground. Not related to the turn signals which might be burned out on one side (which slows or stops blinking)

Prolly a bad ground somewhere if the lights check out ok.
